A Little Dog with a BIG Spirit!

A couple of weeks ago, Scruff E. Puff, my 5 pound Yorkie, was trying to protect me from a larger dog entering our yard. The bigger dog was trying to get close to me, just for a pet, but Scruff thought otherwise. The big dog rolled Scruff over and stepped on his left hind leg. Scruff was hurt in the incident, but did not waiver. Stood firm against the 'intruder'. Well, today, April 15th, my big protector, Scruff, had to have major leg surgery! Will be in cast for the next 5 weeks! He looks sooooooo pitiful, but he is a Big Guy! Drug his cast outside to go potty, and never winced! What a Hero! I love him!!!!!!

Hi Patty, Thanks for the entry. an update on Scruff E. Puff: He got his cast off last week and he is now back in his beloved swimming pool. He doesn't realize that he is actually doing water therapy, but he is beginning to use his leg once more. What a Trooper. With his cast on he weighed eight pounds! With his cast off, he again weighs 4 pounds! He is still a Rottie! So he thinks! Thanks for caring! Terrin Shalom
