A cute pet? Around here it's acute pains.

Things were bad enough around here. Fluzzy was mad because Lilly (Bucket Head) took over the Pooh chair. Snoggle was mad because it is cold and she can't get me to understand why she is entitled to the warmest spot on the bed. Lilly is mad because, well... she has a bucket on her head. And then there's Pooka. She is just mad. She wants to play with her laser mouse every waking second of the day and I am just too lazy to carry it around. It isn't like she is asking THAT much. After all it doesn't take BOTH hands to brush your teeth. So she decided to force me to get up and play by clawing at the shelves that sit on the bed's head board. Over... and over...and over again. I tell her "NO". She knows what that means. She just doesn't care. She will stop, wait until I settle back down and start pumping those nasty little paws just as hard as she can. I am ashamed to say that I was almost at the point of wanting to kill her,( or maybe just duct tape her to the wall). ;} Then an idea hit me (right on the top of the head, as a matter of fact). I had left my deodorant on one of the selves that morning and Pooka had managed to turn it into a bomb. Instead of scooping it up and hurling it at her I used it to coat the edge of the self. She was not amused. The sweet flowerly stuff might be fine under your arms but it seems it isn't all that paw friendly (heh, heh, heh). She shelved her efforts to bug me and took a nap. I didn't think she could get any madder until I saw her reaction to Snoggle's "cute" score. No one on the furry planet of Pooka is as cute as she is. All day long it has been "stink eye" glares and "talk to the paw".
I can't wait until she finds out that the batteries on the mouse are running low.
