Abuse, Profiling and "Role" models

I'm certain that criminal profilers already know drugs/rappers/related "lifestyles" show a direct link to abuse/neglect of both family members and pets/animals. Look at the eyes of those who are in to these "lifestyles." Is anything going on in there that's not chemically altered?
For sure, it's a dirty shame that ANYONE looks to this bunch as "role models" -- and those that do are on the fast track to become people/animal abusers themselves. A lot less hypnotic, bass-thumping "music" and other reality-removing surroundings and a lot more time spent getting to know the real world beyond things that plug into the ears and "video games" is just what doctors should order and parents should enforce.
It's why the Humane Society of Madison County's Prison Program is so successful: Because people gone wrong are given the responsibility of caring for (on many levels) another life and being accountable for everything they do right -- and wrong. Kindness to people and animals begins at home -- or it should.
