Help Needed!!!

THis was copied from Patty (mikkizmom)'s blog and as the shelter manager at Bobbi and the Strays I think its awesome! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO IS POSTING FOR US!!!!!!!

Well folks it time to “Band together” to lend a hand.

As all will attest all the shelters need help but Bobbi and the Strays have a clock ticking and TIME will run out sooner than you know. I'm sure a donation in ANY amount earmarked for the building fund would be greatly appreciated. All any of us has to do is give up ONE Latte, pack of cigarettes (for smokers), candy bar, bottle/can of soda, etc, etc. Times are tough but there tough for all and none more so than for Bobbie and the Strays at this moment. Don't let the animals be added to the homeless.

So, my challenge to you is this: donate a small sum of money, whatever you want and can spare (even $1 would be great), to the building fund for Bobbi & the Strays. Then, create a journal entry--you can even cut & paste this one--of your own, so that everyone on your friends' list will become aware of Bobbi's plight. Ask your friends to do the same, donate and create a journal entry for THEIR friends. Who knows? Maybe Bobbi will get that $1,000,000 after all from the ZooToo community.

Brenda just wrote a new journal in which she said that Bobbi and the Strays has received $958 to date from Zootooers for the Building Fund.

Remember - Bobbi and the Strays is a 100% no kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law and are greatly appreciated – and very much needed!

I received an online donation update. Since the journals have started, Bobbi has received $145!

I'm sure that envelopes will soon start arriving in her P.O. Box too.

I would highly recommend that someone from Bobbi & the Strays write to Mike & Juliet and ask them to do a piece on the shelter. Please go to the link below and write a compelling story on why they should feature you on their show. It's NYC-based and would make for great publicity! Don't forget to mention that this initiative is part of ZooToo--I think that will earn us extra brownie points.

By the way, Bobbi is in the process of creating a new web page: bobbiandthestrays.org At the moment it will take you to the Petfinder page, but it's a good address to keep on hand for when it's completely finished.

Laura may be upset with me for writing this because she's a private person, but I thought you might like to know that Laura works with and cares for the animals at the Vetport. She not only works with them there, she takes them home when they're sick, fosters when she can, and spends her free time taking some of the dogs who've been there the longest, to the park so they can have a break from their cage environment.

It's her love and dedication, along with the other individuals who work there, that makes the Vetport a home for the animals while they await their forever home.
