Our shelter has many fundraisers, it not only is a way for us to raise money but also a great way for the community to get to know our shelter and what we are all about. I think our first fundraiser was a dog walk in the spring, that grew into doing a golf tournament, dog bone hunt at easter, a "Fur Ball" , our local college sports teams doing a humane society night,and several big restaurants in town donating one nights proceeds to the shelter. We all love to be out in the community spreading the word about the importance for spay/neuter, the need for adoptions and educating people about responsible pet ownership.
