What is in your pet's food really?

I came across a pet waste disposal company's website yesterday and thought I would share a pretty clear and concise listing of the 'code' words used on pet food labels and what they really mean...

Some of it is sickening so BEWARE!

Copy and paste this into your browser and you'll see the list of ingredients, where they come from, and what possible harm they could have for your pets.

OMG!! I don't think that I ever want to eat again!!

correction; food and drug administration

Well here's a story..when i bred my dogs and the pups were ready to eat on their own, my husband would soak the puppy food in hot water first. I kept noticing lots of "fibers" rising to the top of the hot water. Finally, I called the food and drug association. The local division actually came to my home and took a sample. They reported back that it was rat hair, claiming that it was an acceptable percentage... even for humans, stating, " The tuna you eat has rodent hair. There is a different standard but a lower percentage of "rodent" is allowed in foods intended for human consumption." That's it.

Yep. It's the same for all foreign matter. A certain amount of rodent parts, insect parts, human worker skin and hair, and all sorts of other things are allowed into your food. I know someone who worked for 20-some years at a well-known ketchup and cereal making plant, and she had to make sure that no more than the limit of these foreign bodies went into the food.

Mmmmmm. Hungry now?

Ummm....what? That's disgusting! They allow that?? In human food too?? That is horrible.
