I have never used anything except commercial pet food before, yet was introduced to Natural Balance (trying Wellness also) at Pet Supplies Plus by a vendor that was there. I liked the thought of what they said and all things natural and how so many problems are from a diet constantly fed of corn, by-products, etc. Well when we got our puppy, her fur was somewhat soft, but more on the coarse side, and she itched a lot. Well after some time on this Natural Balance, she is sooo soft that everyone comments on her! Her fur almost shines, and it's so soft I am almost jealous of it (smile), not to mention that she isn't itching all of the time now either and just looks and acts so very healthy. I have bought it for my cats too, and so far they only get a handful to 2 or 3 handfuls of commercial stuff (I am slowly switching), and I swear I can already notice a difference in them too. Oh and the best part? They do eat less of it (since it's more nutritional and doesn't fly out of them like us eating potato chips would), so it being slightly more expensive doesn't even matter. Oh, and their waste is less too, that's a nice plus. Just wanted to comment on the food and what I notice, it's definately worth trying!

I just logged into Zootoo and found your post about Natural Balance Dog Food almost a year ago. Do you still feed and recommend Natural Balance? Amber is licking her hip and her hair is getting short in that place. Could this be a food allergy?
I am giving her now Purina Puppy Chow Large Breed. She doesn't lick anywhere else. What would you do? Does Natural Balance have a Puppy Chow?
Hugs,
Jerry, Amber and Gabbs
