What kind of cat eats with his paws? He gets a bite at a time from his food bowl with his paw and eats it right out of his paw. He disdains to stick his head down into the food bowl lke a common cat to eat.
What kind of cat plays with his water? He splashes the water from his self-watering bowl just to watch it run down into the nearby floor drain in the basement floor. Anytime water runs in the house he is there to watch it - sink, toilet, pitcher, coffeepot, you name it. When he jumps up on my lap and his paws are wet, I know he's been playing.
What kind of cat follows me around like a dog? He stays so close that he dogs my heels and I've stepped on him a couple times. When I get up from my seat he curls up in my spot before Amy has a chance to do it. When the spot on the sofa beside me is open, he curls up next to me and watches TV with me. And now when I take him with me and Amy in the truck to run to the store, he curls up on the driver's seat where Amy always used to curl up and wait on me.
What kind of cat runs to the phone when it rings and waits for me to answer it? He runs to the door to greet everyone when the doorbell rings, he gets up on the dining table next to the door and presents himself to everyone that comes in.
What kind of cat runs to the door when I ask the dogs if they want to go outside? He waits until I get there, then steps aside and watches while I take the dogs out. Sometimes, he splashes lots of water when we're outside, which I find when I come back in, as if to register displeasure at not going out with us.
