ok, i was a major math nerd in school, so here goes.
it's actually ridiculously simple. there are a very, VERY limited number of possibilities here. let's look at the number 27. in "27", "7" is in the "one's place", and "2" is in the "ten's place". you follow? ok. for any number that you pick...any number at all, when you subtract the number that is in the "one's place" from the original number, you're left with a number that is a multiple of 10. and then the number in the "ten's place" will be the same, whether you chose 21 or 27, so the outcome will be the same. get it? the only possible outcomes are 9, 18, 27, 36...well, you get the idea. multiples of 9!
now, if you look at the chart, you'll notice that all of the multiples of 9 have the same item listed.
actually i think I just figured it out..... don't want to ruin the magic for everybody but if you wanna know message me. once you look at it its easy to see how it works.
I did it a couple times and the first few I think I didn't do the subtracting but, I read the directions again and, woila, she guessed it right everytime! I picked 23 and 27 (his n my b-days) n both times it was for 18. That is too funny!
Even if you "pretent" that you thought of a # and just click next - and just look at one of the #'s w/ a pic. on it and say ' I'll pick that one" then click next. It won't guess what you picked!
It' knows you were just PRETENDING!!
