I Hate When that Happens

Someone sent me a really neat video today. It is truly outstanding. The best part, or at least my immediate reaction to what was the best part, and which actually turned out to be the worst part was that I thought I could process (edit) the video and put it up on Zootoo. The name of the video is Pilobolus and it is a clip from a talk show. I don’t know who the host is, but most of you would probably recognize him. You would probably also think that I am pretty stupid for not knowing who he is…but any way.

So what the video is, is it’s I guess you could call it like a pantomime using silhouettes. The actors and actresses do this stuff behind a screen that is backlit and all you see is the silhouettes and what they do is incredible, but it gets better. Almost the first scene is them creating the Statue of Liberty. The very next scene involves a dog and there is a third scene that involves a zoo. How appropriate is that? Statue of Liberty—LHS’s logo; Dogs – the shelter and really where I am involved in the shelter: and zoo for Zootoo. There is some other stuff in it that wasn’t relevant and that I wanted to edit that stuff out, but I couldn’t do it because the file is in a format that I couldn’t process with the video editing software that I have. In fact it was even sneaky about it. It would load the video and even let me do some stuff and then freeze. I thought the software had been corrupted, but the wind up is it does work on other file formats so it really was the file and not the software.

Reminds me of a time when I was playing tennis. Very rare times those were indeed. I hit the net on the first serve and I said “one bad”. I hit the net on the next serve and I said “two bad”. My opponent said “too bad for you.” Oh well. Not being able to post that video is too bad for you and me and now you know why I don’t play tennis.
