Fun with Chex & Rex

The hub and I took Chex and Rex to Grass Valley to a "Responsible Pet Owners" fair at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. We had the dogs decked in their Doggles and they were lookin' cool. We met Buddy Rizzo and his Mom who writes the internet column Ask Buddy the Dog. We also had a wonderful chat with the "ice cream lady" (I'm so sorry that we didn't get her name...*doink*) Lazy Dog Confections. She has yummy treats and we are so looking forward to seeing her again when we return Labor Day weekend for the dog show.
We spent a couple of hours there checking out the various vendors and groups that turned out. We participated in a short obedience demonstration that was quite fun. Rex and Chex were on their best behavior...we couldn't have been more proud. Rex took a few dips in the kiddie pools that were spaced around the event (awesome idea for summer pet events). Our dashing duo even had some pics taken of them by other guests. Note to self: you really have to remember to bring the camera for events like this and capture some of this fun on film!
