Behind Every Successful Shelter Volunteer there’s a ……
Meanwhile back at the ranch. I mean beginning. Wifey this morning says “Are you going to LHS tonight?” Now as recently as yesterday it was “How about if we go up to LHS on Thursday?” This morning “we” mysteriously changes to “you”. Hmm. It gets better. She says “Maybe you should just go tonight. You get out of work before me and I really should get home to take care of our pups.” I think she must have found my excuses list. Remind me later to find a better hiding spot. So I say “I don’t know if I feel like going tonight.” Which really is Antonuch’s (variant of Anthony’s) way of saying “I ain’t going and don’t tell me ain’t ain’t in the dictionary because it was added in our lifetime!” She is not to be outdone and says, “Well why don’t you bring your stuff in case you decide that you want to go?” Here we are again back to that “you” stuff. So I relent and put my “stuff” in the care.
What happens after I get to work is that I’m like “Yeah, I do want to go tonight. I miss the place. There are a few buds there that I haven’t seen in a while that I would like to get out. There’s a few newbies I want to meet. Yeah. I really want to go.” and I do. That’s how I came up with the snappy title for this journal entry.
Finally, after a long hiatus, two entries in the entertainment category. Maybe the increase in day light has helped out.

The weather is a huge deterrent to my dog volunteering. When it's cold, I hate going outside.
