Another day at my Zoo!

Today was an interesting day here. All of the cats were getting along! I did not know how to react as there is usually one of the girls with a burr up her tail. Briez Alexis and Adrienna Baylinn are my only true indoor cats- the other girls love to be outside for a few hours chasing newts, palmetto bugs, and the little snakes. Just aren't allowed to bring them in! It was going to storm today, so I guess all of the critters that are normally out in the wilds were under cover for the storm, so why not stay in the house with mom and the dogs! Boring!!! I have four food dishes out as only two at a time will eat at any given bowl, so there are always crunchies on the floor! Damn, and they hurt when walking in bare feet! Since all of the girls were in, I had to open the Florida room door, so they had more room to roam. Not that anybody was going to roam, but if the door is not open, there is hell to pay. Did I mention that NO door can be shut in the house, including the bedroom and bathroom door! As soon as a door is closed. Briez runs to it and begins yowling like no tomorrow, and then the dogs get started, and the rest is history. Briez tore up the carpet at the front bedroom door, as Rog had closed the door, and she did not like that one little bit. But that's for another entry. Back to the girls - Olivia Slayde took the big window seat, Emilie took the back of the couch overlooking the side yard. Prissy got in the closet, much to my chagrin, Zoeighe decided that since the Florida room was open she would lay on top of the hot tub. Briez decided that she wanted the front bedroom window and tore down the curtain that was up in front of her special window, and Bayli curled up in her hat. Now what is wrong with this picture. Most of you would say, 'BORING' but I knew that something was going on for all of them getting along and not fussing at one another. Well, I found the source! I had been harvesting catnip to dry and I had left a trail coming to the house - before the rains hit, so all of the girls had nibbled their way to the front door and by the time they got in the house, they were tooooooo buzzed up to give a furry rat's behind. When I had come into the house, I gave Briez and Baylinn some fresh nip, so they were already 'laxed out' and didn't care if the others came in! So now we all know why everyone was getting along. Oh the magic of catnip!!!!! Maybe I should try some!
