Krista and I hustled ourselves out of the house at 8:30 this morning to meet up with the rest of the attendees at Genuine Joe's, a local coffee shop that allows dogs out on their front patio. Despite the chill, we had a big turn out, and many of the other Joe's visitors enjoyed seeing the pups out front.

We arrived early since I opted to go straight from the house and hung around out front for a while. Krista met a couple of other dogs, and one couple actually took their dog to the dog park and came back to meet the AHS pooches!

We had a crowd by 9:30 plus Jam, Breezy, and Dazzle joined Krista in the canine contingent. Breezy and Dazzle hit it off, and they were vocalizing and wrestling in one corner as Krista timidly met my fellow AHS volunteers. I passed her off to someone else, so I could go get breakfast and coffee (scone and mocha were both great!). During my disappearance, Krista shyly made friends with Jam, the only male in the group. Unfortunately, Jam's friendliness with Krista blossomed into a full-blown obsession since he wasn't neutered, and she's submissive enough to tolerate repeated humping. Yeah, some of the photos and video will NOT make it to the ZooToo website.

I got the impression that Krista would have been happy to leave much earlier than we did although she was approaching the other volunteers to solicit pettings and food. She was a bit stressed by the new people constantly coming and going and just wanted to be home with her Suzu and Miki.

Ironically, the first thing Krista did when we got home was growl at Miki and try to initiate wrestling/mounting...maybe she was just burning off some of the energy she supressed while Jam kept trying to have his way with her!
