It’s grrr-eat to be home in between tour legs. During my five-day break before I head out to the Midwest, I spent one morning on the TV set of “San Diego Living” on The CW network. Live - with my two dogs, Chipper and Cleo. Whenever I put on their matching burgandy bandanas, they seem to know it’s “show time” and bring out their best behavior. We drove down to the TV studio in San Diego with our pal, Cindy. I donned my doggy chef apron and showed co-host Joe Bauer how to prepare Marvelous Mutt Meatballs from my best seller, “Real Food for Dogs.” He bravely took my challenge to eat a couple of these meaty treats. Good boy, Joe! Chipper and Cleo enjoyed being tail-wagging taste testers as well. We also discussed fun, low-cost ways to bring out the best in you and your pets - from the pages of my “Happy Dog, Happy You” and “Happy Cat, Happy You” books. Love this show! You must tune in - it airs 9 a.m. weekdays in San Diego on The CW network. Turns out Joe loves his dog, Bella and together, they enjoy shopping for canine must-buys at The Muttropolis, 7755 Girard Ave., LaJolla.
