Sad and frustrated

I was the 5th top reviewer on Zoo Too, with well over 70,000 points. Suddenly during the last 2 weeks of the contests, my reviews are getting flagged and deleted. I know I write quality reviews with a subject, actually talking about the product/service, and giving reference to the my pets using the product. I'm one of the few who have read Zoo Too's fine print. I find it sad and frustrating that I've worked SO hard to support my shelter and here it is the last day and I have less points then I did 2 weeks ago even though everyday I post 10 reviews, 10 photos and 5 videos. What I really don't understand is why other people who are supporting shelters in the top 20, are NOT getting their reviews deleted. I see short, meaningless reviews like, "nice product" or "good shelter" that were written months ago and haven't been deleted. It doesn't seem fair at all.

I wish everyone the best of luck, even the flaggers. It was a fun and interesting journey. I've met a lot of great people on Zoo Too and learned a lot too.

But here it is the last day and I just can't find it in me to even make one post...why should I bother? It will be flagged and deleted.

Good luck everyone. Keep in mind this is for the animals.

wow. After writing this I checked back for the "aw" entry and it was deleted, along with two of my comments. I wrote a comment today. If it gets deleted I will enter it in exactly as I entered it last time (I did a screen shot). If it gets deleted again, I will send it to the Zoo Too 'help' email. After that if it gets deleted I will stop using this website all together because I will have decided it's not just about the animals for some rude people out there.

You wrote three comments to this journal and all three were deleted? How in the world did they go about deleting comments on a journal entry?

Okay. That settles it. This is just too bizarre. You made an enemy of someone out there.

Did I write three comments? I can't even remember now. Everything I do gets deleted. I haven't logged on in a week because it's hard to see the point anymore.

I agree with all of you. I am not even nearly a top reviewer, but I think it's a waste of everyone's time to say "I'm not really sure how I feel about this" in a review or just the letters "aw". So flagging these so-called reviews will get them deleted? Because I might go on a flagging rampage if that's the case. I'm not in the contest at all so I could be a completely neutral 'referee' haha best of luck to all of you if there's a next time.

All in all, I think I lost about 600 points. Of course, I don't know because I didn't start to keep my own log until the last three weeks. I have no idea why I lost points either. I think part of it had to do with my being the top point earner for my shelter which was in third place. It's too bad that people resorted to such tactics. Obviously, there is no quality control concerning flagging--if it's flagged, no one from zootoo reviews the justification.

This comment is so true. I have seen a lot of product reviews and news stories that are just one and two word reviews. Also 10 - 15 reviews from the same person for the same news story that have never been deleted. It was fun but I am glad it is over. It was for the animals and that is why we did it.

I'm with you, Heather. This 'contest' has been a load of BS. I have watched the last couple of weeks and for every 200 points I would earn, I would lose 300 or more. There is absolutely no fairness in this contest whatsoever and it has been a tremendous waste of time and effort on the part of many people who played by the rules.
