Well, the weather has cooled and things have calmed down pretty good around the barns. I took Rusty out two days ago, put a saddle on him and walked him around. Normally, I ride him bareback, haven't used a saddle on him since 2005. He did great, didn't even bat an eye, I guess he remembered what it was and what he was supposed to do. Well, yesterday I was going to put the saddle on and walk him around again, but I decided to go ahead and get on and ride him. He did great, I just rode him a short time down the barn aisle. I will probably work him again today, just a little longer than yesterday. I think he is ready to have a job again, being blind, he doesn't get to do much, so this at least gives him something to look forward to. I just love my Rusty, he is such a great horse!
