The Obamas have made it public that they have promised their girls a dog after the election - and supposedly it is talked about daily.
The American Kennel Club is taking a vote on its website where people can choose which hypoallergenic breed is best for the family, since one of the girls is allergic.

This is the perfect opportunity to make the plight of unwanted pets known to all! I'm sure there are many hypoallergenic dogs in shelters!!! Also, a hypoallergenic mix may do the trick! Isn't living in the White House similar to living outside due to its size and number of people cleaning it???
The White House needs a Cinderella Dog story - from the shelter to the White House!
Also, McCain has two pure breds, which are the only ones listed on the AKC page, but also has a mix! Doesn't it count to the AKC???? If you are going to show his dog breeds, include his mutt!

I can't imagine a more perfect opportunity to make Obama aware of the plight of animals in the United States.
