I am so amazed at the community support we received on Tue. Apr. 29, everyone should be so proud of what has been accomplished. The crowd was great! Those 3rd graders from New Central were awesome and their donation amazing!!! The band played wonderfully, The FFA and IC Girls Softball team were so helpful in getting tables and chairs set up for this, we couldn't have done it all with out their help.
Donna and Marvin Leigh, John Nelson, Sharon Bale and their group of helpers served a wonderful meal, which by the way Richard Thompson said he loved the BBQ, thought it was great!! So did we, you are all wonderful.
The T-shirts Jill was in charge of were beautiful and everyone wanted one. Ben Shawgo and Sarah Clark were so dedicated in setting up, Megan Clark helped in getting all the soda, bottled water, chips and table service and stayed with the pets in the adoption trailer the whole morning.
Jean Huber and the Easton Balloon crew, All the people at Nikles who passed out T-shirts, blew up balloons, and rocked the corner at the 4 way! The Fire Dept, the police Dept with traffic control, Theresa Kline and her group who folded and passed out T's and goodies at the shelter, Linda Woolsey for all your dedication and help in setting up. Nancy and your family for all you do.
Sam Lant, you are incredible with those dogs we couldn't do this without your help.
To Bailey, Allen and the others who helped load, unload and transport all those tables and chairs, wow what a job. Sheila McCallister for all your support and prayers.
Finally to Sue Oldham who gathered us all together, organized us and got businesses to donate like nobody I know, You are all amazing, wonderful people. I'm sure I have left some people out, if I did, call me, (217) 671-9446, its not intentional, you are amazing too!!! Pwp is where it is today because of people like this, people like you, everyone should be so proud of what just happened in little ol Teheran and know there will be a new shelter someday for these deserving animals, this work will go on, and each of you had a part in something amazing on April 29,2008 in Teheran, IL.
I have to add this, I almost forgot one essential part of PWP that gets overlooked, Our foster homes, I know Linda, Jessica, Jean Ann, Cheryl, and so many more work everyday to help these pets live a wonderful life until they are found forever homes and it's people like you that make a difference to these animals, Thanks all of you that are fosters for PWP or any shelter pet, The world is a better place for pets because of you!!!
