Happy Mother's Day

Today, on my way to my mother's house I was gifted with a lovely sight.

Crossing the road was a family of Canadian geese, two adults and six gosling. We stopped to let them cross the road.

What a lovely reminder that people aren't the only one's with families. I'm sure the geese had no idea it is Mother's day, but they still inspired me. What a beautiful family!

Did you see "Sunday Morning" today? There was footage of a shelter dog who came in with puppies, but all of her puppies had been adopted. Next came in a litter of kittens minus a mom. The dog accepted the kittens as her own and, not only allowed them to nurse, but became their mom. She even retrieved one that had fallen into her water bowl. Great story. Lots of good moms out there.
