I wish there was someone around that could help me train golden retrievers, Labradors, and some of the other big dogs here in Cherokee County how to become service dogs. I keep seeing several individuals in the community who could possibly benefit from the use of a service dog, and I have found mine to be highly useful as she is growing. Being the fact that the law states that there is no special training, except for the training where the service dog assists their companion with the special needs, the possibilities for the individuals here can be great. If anyone would like to assist me with this goal, please let me know.
This could even benefit the shelter, as there are too many strays who could possibly make great service dogs and put their energy to work where they would no longer be strays but companions for those who need them.
