Natty Bumppo's Adventures Pt.4

Natty Bumppo never had an "accident" in the house.He took to the routine with amazing speed. We'd spend 15 min. each morning practicing basic manners- sits, downs... In less than a week he could hold a sit stay at front with no break in eye contact for 30-45 seconds while I stepped back 8-10 feet. What a focused pup! We worked on his manners at home until he was 14 weeks old. Then we began working in and around the Potsdam Humane Society's Shelter. The distractions mounted but Bump was up to the task. His greatest challenge was to stay focused in the presence of the cats. Since I don't have cats at home, they were new and fascinating to the curious Bumppo!
