By the Side of the Road

I saw a very large dog that had been hit, on the side of the road yesterday. I know he belonged to someone because he had a bright orange collar on. It broke my heart to once again, see someone's beloved pet gone. It was an extremely fast and busy highway and I know he probably had run right into the traffic. It will never cease to make me sad, I don't care how many I see.
