Breakthrough!!!

Yesterday we had a breakthrough with Buster! Tuesday night we thought he would have to go back into boarding. He was so aggressive towards our other foster that we were afraid it would undo all the work we had put into the other one. The other one is Romeo...a very insecure and scared puppy. I felt like I was giving up on Buster,but there was nothing else I could do. Yesterday he obviously wanted a playmate,he's still a puppy himself. So we put Holly in with him and she just wasn't interested. So I put Radar in there and they got along great. Radar is only 1 1/2 years old so he was very willing to play with him. I decided to take advantage of the state of mind that Buster was in and I removed Radar and brought in Romeo. Buster was loose in the room but I kept Romeo on a leash. My husband monitored Buster while I held Romeo and it went great!. Buster and Romeo were playing together like puppies should. I removed Romeo while they were still playing so that I could end it on a good note. I was so excited I almost cried! We did have a few blowups later that day. But we made a step in the right direction. I now have hope that Buster can stay until he finds his forever home and hope that Buster can eventually learn to get along with other dogs. Cross your fingers! I'm so excited!
