Benny and Snooch

I feel like I should be writing about two felons on the lam but, given the last few nights, that perfectly fits these oddball cats. Being lazy I've been rather slow about taking down the Christmas tree. As the cats remove an orament I put it in its respective box and pack it away. Then two nights past I was wakened by a curious noise.

Jumping out of bed I grabbed my trusty squirt bottle fearing the worst. The worst being that another one of my breakables was in danger of having Benny watch it smash on the tile floor. Instead, I flipped the switch and two sets of green eyes stared at me in wide-eyed horror. One had a mouthful of the head of one of my precious corn-husk dolls, the other had strands of nicked electrical lines sticking out of his mouth like dark green licorice.

Snooch has become quite the corn husk doll aficionado, eating the bucket my water gathering girl held and the floral arrangement another cradled in her arms. Benny (Ebeneezer if you haven't caught on) managed to nip the lights from the Christmas tree in perfect six-inch lengths. He also managed to separate the braided lines into individual strands. His first, and most brilliant bite, was to severe the end that plugs into the wall which makes me wonder if my Valentine's Day present hadn't done this at the home he came from leading to the breeder happily waving her usual fee for Manx kitties.

Bonnie and Clyde look out, here come your feline counterparts.
