I don't know why its so hard for people to volunteer their time to help innocent animals find homes. All it takes is a few hours one day a week to help out. Raising public awareness on adoping pets, raising money to support the shelter, helping with special events. Its all for a great cause. The animals cannot help themselves. They depend on us pet lovers to help them. I volunteer almost every Saturday and foster puppies when available. Its fun as well as rewarding, especially when your hard work pays off with someone adopting. Its very exciting. The St Tammany Humane Society needs lots of wonderful, dedicated volunteers to assist with offsite adoptions and special events.
