Stormy Gets A Stamp!

Stamp of Stormy - wouldn't it be funny if a postal worker adopted him as a result?
I am nominating Roz for Poster Master General of the United States.

Why?

I get ANOTHER present in the mail. I open it up with much anticipation. What could it be?

I am blown away - a stamp with Stormy's drawing on it. What a cool idea! Really creative thought, Roz.

Since I was in Sarasota, I decided to drop by the emergency hospital to see Wendy. I walked in the back, and in front of everyone said, "You are NEVER going to believe this!"

I asked Wendy, could you please use these on your local bills, but she had a MUCH better idea. When an animal gets euthanized due to illness or old age, Wendy mails a sympathy card, which I think is a classy and caring thing to do. She suggested that we use the stamps on those cards because many people adopt shortly after losing one of their pets and what better way to bring Stormy to their attention. I think this is a really good idea and it wouldn't have been possible if not for the creativity and kindness of Roz.

Roz... what an amazing woman you are - so giving and selfless. I'm speechless. Not only do you supply me with unbelievable gifts that help me get Stormy's story out there, you make all of the staff at the hospital know just how many people are rooting for him, AND you stir my own creative juices. This was an excellent idea. It's got my mind churning.

Thank you, Roz. Amazing.

Every day I look Cully to see if Stormy has found a home yet. I'm still hoping that my 40th birthday wish from August will come true! This stamp is so wonderful I truly hope it does lead Stormy and his new parent(s) together!

Tracy, I have received the green light from a HUGE animal group on Stormy's story. From what I understand, they are choosing a staff writer and will contact me shortly (hopefully). If this comes to fruition, and I am led to believe that it will, this will reach millions of people. Just to keep interest alive, I emailed this organization a photo of Stormy's stamp. I wanted to show them just how creative Stormy's fan club is and how devoted they are to finding him a home.

I just read this and am SO EXCITED for our dear boy (and you, too)! I won't go over the edge just yet - but when you let us know that Stormy has a home, you'll definitely hear my WOOHOO in FL! I can't imagine the hugs and tears of joy that you and Wendy, and all her staff, will share! Thinking all the best thoughts for my favorite boys as I can!

Thank you, Roz, for your creativity! I've heard that anyone can make stamps online, but you thinking about making "Stormy" stamps is wonderful! My vet also mails sympathy cards to owners that have lost pets for whatever reason. I've actually asked them not to mail one the last four times it's happened to me - just to much to deal with. Thanks again for coming up with such a special idea to help find our dear Stormy a home!

What a great idea this would be--if this could be put into fruition a lot of animals could be helped.

This is truly amazing! I didn't know you could make stamps! What a wonderful thing for Roz to do...If this doesn't get Stormy's story out there, nothing will!

It was just such a creative idea. I was thinking, how do I put this into context. I mean, if I just mail out the stamps, no one would make the connection to where Stormy is (or who he is), but if the hospital used them, it would make perfect sense. I really like this idea. Could you imagine if shelters started doing this with their animals? I think Roz's idea has some major potential.

That's why we have Roz. If we knew everything already, she would be useless. Her job is to let us know everything. She is doing an excellent job at that so far.

what a wonderful idea, now if the entire postal service would distribute these to all then the world would see him and his chances would greatly increase

Wouldn't that be awesome to actually have this as an official USPS stamp? A "forever" stamp, of course.

As Post Master General, Roz could make this happen!

It could be done! I think people can start petitions to have a certain picture or theme on a stamp. Interested Zootooers could sign the petition, and maybe Rox could make this happen. (It would be worth looking into.)

What an amazing idea! I didn't know you could put pictures on stamps. And using the stamps on sympathy cards is an awesome suggestion. How wonderful of Roz to send the stamps - very thoughtful and caring.

I showed my mom the stamps while I was down there and she was amazed as well. What a great idea. I can't believe that every time I turn around, someone is doing something nice for Stormy. And Roz is just ridiculously sweet. This is her third gift to Stormy!

She's great, so easy to talk to. I had only talked to her on zootoo, but when we finally met, it was like we already knew eachother. She just has that way about her I think! And you are always greeted with a warm and friendly hug! I wish I could meet her kitties too!

Cully, you are so right about Roz! She is one of our most beloved zter's! She helped me considerably with advice when we introduced Smokey inside after he got neutered and his health checked out. I feel those that inspire us to do better, get our creative juices flowing, or just share their knowledge are just AWESOME human beings! :) ^..^
