My day at the kennels

one of the best things about going to the kennels is seeing the steady growth in some of the dogs that have been there for awhile.. I work on their basic manners and if a dog has an issue such as toy possession, I will work on them in the yard giving up the toy so that I can throw it for them.. I wish I could work with them more often but I don't have the home for some of these dogs..
This is a pic of one of our new ones.. he is one that could definitely fit in my home if he passed the cat test. He is so happy go lucky and sweet.. I just keep telling myself no when I come home from the kennels

I give you lots of credit, going to the shelter and not taking them, I cant go because I would want to take them all, I cry easy and the few times I was at our shelter it left such a heart breaking experience that i couldnt sleep for days, so I just cant go.what you do is such a good thing and not everyone can deal the way you do.

it is actually a boarding kennel where we keep the boxers that don't have foster homes. I don't like seeing them there either way.. I would have a hard time going to a shelter as their fate isn't as promising as the boxer kids.. Boxer Luv Rescue takes owner turn ins, strays and those boxers that are on the elist (it is called a new hope program). The boxers at the kennels don't get daily walks or attention only from us volunteers that show up to spend time with them. The people that work at the boarding facility are dealing with their care and about a 100 more dogs that are boarded from private citizens.

she will get one soon.. I can't believe less than two weeks from signing the house papers.. then moving then we will work on getting Miya a permanent boxer boy
