I wanted to update everyone on Jewel. She is better than good! She is wonderful!! We aahhh at her everyday as we watch her with the other animals and people. She was begging to play the other dogs so we decided to let her and see how she did. We couldn't have expected better, she did great with 4 puppies crawling all over her and biting at her tail and ears. She actually seemed to be quite fond of them. So far we haven't been able to find a single dog that she doesn't like or person for that matter. She still will give a low bark when she is behind a fence and a stranger walks up but if you let her smell you and you talk to her you suddenly become her best friend. At the shelter yesterday we tested her with cats and she did amazing there as well. The cat smacked at her and she hunched down in hopes that the cat would play with her, to no avail. The cat tried to smack her again and Jewel tucked her tail and ran!!
Some other great qualities that Jewel has is that she is crate trained, knows sit, rides in the car like a dream, walks well on a leash, doesn't jump on you unless she is invited and she loves to play.
