Life with a pet loving woman

I love animals. I really do. But I didn't know what it was to really love them and live with them until I met Carrie by girlfriend. She has 5 dogs and 7 or 8 cats. Its hard to tell as she always has foster animals and I can't tell them all apart. Early on I thought this life with her would be total chaois. But amazingly it isn't. Her animals are actually pretty well behaved and they all are such great animals. Chance, the setter is my big buddy and napping pal. He is so terrific. I would take him home with me, if I didn't know how happy he is on the farm. My apartment life and traveling wouldn't be the best life for him...he already has that. Anyway, my time with Carrie and her animals has really changed my perspective on living with animals. And I've learned a lot too. More than I thought there was to learn about...dogs, cats, kittens, heartworms (yipes), disease, allergies, poop, etc. But its been fun.

Enjoyed reading your journal page. I always had kitten and cats growing up and
did not have my first dog until I was an adult. Now I would not be without one.
They all have different personalities, but each is lovable in their own way. There
is such a bonding between us and our dogs. We are the lucky ones to have them.

Saw you had reviewed Foster and Smith products. We have used them for a number of years - our second English Setter Casey was from one of their litters. She was a wonderful girl that we truly loved. I know how you feel about Chance. Enjoyed reading your journal --- Carrie is really special!
