Boots

Leap Day brought a new foster cat into my home. Boots was brought to Maxfund a year ago by a very sad owner who had to give him up after 16 years. Her granddaughter who had come to live with her was allergic. At that time she said he was 20. One of the Maxfund foster moms was in the shelter that day and took Boots home with her, so he didn't have to spend one night in the shelter. A year later, when she couldn't really foster Boots any longer, she contacted Maxfund. Once again the great foster coordinator worked quickly to find another home for Boots, so again he didn't have to spend one night at a shelter. He's doing well for an old guy. If everyone was telling the correct number of years, he'd be about 21! All I know is he has his teeth, loves to eat and won't pose for a good photo. Who knows how long I'll have Boots, but maybe he'll become a zootoo story someday!
