Adoption

Ok, for the last couple of weeks, I've been looking into adopting another dog. The dog in question is pretty much smaller then then the rest of the household. I've been researching Mini Dobi's and how they relate to other animals. Not much of a difference between my dog Bernie and this little critter. Both were breed to chase rodents and pretty much release energy.
I'm just not sure how my household would react to a new dog. Bernie is a bit of a chicken unless it's a cat, and the cat's might eat him. Confused, and not sure, but I'm looking for advice and some deep thought.

I felt the same way when I brought Roxy home. I was sure Daisy would be upset and not give me any loves. However, she loved her, and as a matter of fact I get more loves now,

Bernie is a bit spoiled and has to share his time. Get's to the point where he'll nip at the cats. But I think he'll be ok with another dog then a cat.

If you have a dog in mind, would it be possible to offer to foster him for a weekend or so...just to see how it goes? I have cats, so I'm not always sure about dogs. But it seems that might help. Good luck. Let us know how it goes!

Sounds like it might be a good match. You have to think: is your household happy and content at the moment? And if so then do you think that the new addition will disturb that happiness?

It is all up to you. Look into your heart.

Hope that helps on your decision!
