Cats have long ear canals and improper cleaning can result in a ruptured eardrum, pain or lacerations of the canal. You can clean … read more

My daughter had found two orphaned bunnies about 8 years ago in her back yard. She's really great at taking care of " baby " anything. She was going on vacation right after she found the babies so of course I got to take care of them before they were strong enough to be released. My daughter had contacted someone that she knew that's pretty much an… read more

I haven't been on for several days. I just haven't been feeling "right" and this morning, whatever this " thing " is has blossomed and I can barely move my neck. I'll be fine but it's been crazy around here. Baby has an ear infection so she's being treated with an antibiotic ointment. My husband is having surgery at Mass. General on Wednesday. He s… read more

This was from my ASPCA newletter. I am glad Gordo is OK. I honestly had never heard about pennies being toxic to dogs. On September 29, when Keiver Guacane of Manhattan brought his five-month-old Cockapoo, Gordo, to ASPCA Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital, his beloved pup was in dire straits. The fuzzy, light-brown pooch was in critical condition… read more

This summer I received a letter from our vet stating that the flu shot is approved for dogs and that you could choose to get one for your dog. I don't know whether to give this flu shot to my dogs or not. It's not the H1N1 Flu Shot. I'm always very good about making sure my dogs are up-to-date on their shots, heartguard pills, K9Advantix, etc., so… read more

I don't know what the deal is with these kitties, but they jump on the counters with reckless abandon. Anything that has the potential to involve food is fair game. Like they haven't eaten in a month. I have cats that like to beg for people food, but this group is nuts! I was cooking yesterday and turned off the stove-top and turned to the opposite… read more
