Making an effort!

Posted in General

It would be nice if the city dog pound would work with local shelters. Here in this town they charge the animal shelter $30.00 to rescue a dog that has been in their pound for 2 hours. We have asked them to work with the shelter, but they said we have our ordinances and we are no different than anybody else. Sometimes i think animal shelters are so… read more

Naming cats!

Posted in General

It is hard to keep up with all the names of the kitties at the shelter. I think i can name all 90 cats though. I have a bigger problem coming up with new names. It is hard to not use the same names over and over. I have had to buy a baby name book to come up with new names. Does anyone have another ideas for naming cats? I am open to suggestions. read more

Full Moon!

Posted in General

Another cat was surrendered to the shelter today that had been hit by a car, that makes two in the last week. It must be a full moon or something. This big guy is hard to help, he is feral and does not want us to touch him much. It will be hard to treat his wounds. More than likely "Saemous" will have to be euthanized. This is a job i hate to do! read more

Taking Picture!

Posted in General

Taking pictures of aimals are the hardest to do. Just when i think i have the picture the cat or dog will turn their head. I wished i had a camera that would freeze the picture the first time i click on the button. Most of the pictures are backsides or turned heads or closed eyes. I could not become a pet photographer. It is to hard! read more
