Zootoo was HERE!!!

This was a most incredible, wonderful, amazing day. For me, Richard Thompson was just another name made famous by the media and his position until today. It is so easy to read about someone and what they are doing, or read about them in the news but until you actually meet them in person you don't really get a sense of what kind of person they really are. zootoo is coming zootoo is coming!!!

We couldn't be more excited and nervous to welcome zootoo's President and the Humane Society to our little shelter. We are trying to let the whole community know they are coming to our little box on the hill, in the middle of nowhere. The Oprah show and Puppy Mills

I watched today in horror the Oprah shows expose' on puppy mills. I can't begin to tell you how many times I have gone to the mall to do some shopping only to go to the petstore there and oooh and ahhh over the lovely puppies. How guilty am I??? I am ashamed of myself for even being a participant in an way to encourage such horrific atrocities against these dogs. I thought for sure I would take a few days off, eventually I probably will but for now I seem to be drawn to check stuff out, I have more time to read reviews, surf shelters and rescues and catch up on messages and journals. This has been quiet an experience and I would do it all over again to help our shelter.
