Chickens are home!

Today I picked up my chickens from Rural King. I special ordered them. I got 6 California White (was supposed to be 5 not 6), 5 Production Reds, and 4 Arucanas (was supposed to be 5 not 4). New DUCKLINGS!

I got new ducklings today!!! I have five total - two Peking and three Mallards! I will have pictures up of them soon! I named them different kinds of music - Rock N Roll, Punk, Country, R&B, and Jazz (Jazz is my favorite so far! It fell asleep in my hands on the way home!) I will have pictures up soon! Very excited! Something is getting into the barn!

While I was away in Feb. something got in the barn and got a couple of my ducks!!! I am so upset! I can't believe it! They had been fine outside ALL summer and I bring them into the barn in the winter and something starts killing them! What is the deal! read more
