Zayna is taking some time to adjust!
I really do think she is afraid of the dark. The last two nights she has been up all night crying. Then when Shannon got up Zayna went to sleep. She did get up long enough to chew the power cord off the Laptop! Thank god we got the 3 year waranty! She also likes the zippers in our brand new couches. Shannon brought Jayna and Zayna to the Ladue Whole Foods MArket "Dog Days" Event. Flip and his family showed up and he seemed to get along with Jayna so they took her. Flip and Jayna are doing so fine they thought about taking in a 3rd foster. One of the foster guardians mother my adopt her. I tried not to bring work home with me, but the "Wonder Twins" caught my eyes and my heart. They were on the "List" a couple times and I just could not allow them to be on it any more. Stray Rescue pulled them out of the ACC-St.Louis and they are at our house now and will be hitting their first Adoption Event tomorrow night at South City Petsmart. I have been hired to work at the St.Louis City Animal Care & Control. My position will be Animal Control Officer with a start date hopefully on June 9th. My goal is to teach people on what it takes to be a guardian in St.Louis City. I am also going to try to get the adoption rates up at the shelter and the kill rate lower. I also want to help bridge Stray Rescue of St.Louis with the ACC. They both already have a relationship, but I want to get a better relationship going. read more

We guessed correctly on his name. We found his family. We contacted the HSMO, APA and ACC about him. A few days after losing him they contacted both HSMO and APA. We surrendered him over to the HSMO and they microchipped him. We were hoping they would neuter him as well, however they didn't. He was being puppy sat at his guardians mothers house about 15 blocks away. He got away on the last night of the sitting. They were very happy that he was found.
