Just got home from the Thorp, WI puppy mill auction protest. It was a miserable day: -15 degrees with the windchill. Ther were about 50 of us who braved the cold and wind. Well, I'm up a O-dark:thirty to get on the road for Thorp for the puppy mill auction. My husband, who is technically retired drives school bus, so he's up with me. He leaves, comes back less a minute later, "I forgot my shoes." He still his slippers on! Ha! read more
