It seems we've gone right into winter and by-passed fall altogether! Has anyone else experienced crazy weather this year? The year has just seemed to be the same from January through the end of October--unusually cool and windy. Lots of rain, too. Look out--winter is on our doorstep! read more

We have had such a lovely summer--cooler than usual--and now it's seems we will have an early fall.....I can see the leaves are already falling and that "leaf" smell is in the air. Trixie likes walking so much better in the cooler weather. 3/4" of an inch of rain today, but cannot complain. We are living in paradise! read more

Ok....I have been MIA for a while, but I am SOOOOOOOOOOO tired of pet wars...why do some pets get seen like a billion times more than others?????? What's up with that? Wow, yesterday it was 70 degrees in St. Louis...now the weather forecasters are saying it might snow on Saturday! Always the rollercoaster weather before spring actually gets here! The crocus are peeking and the jonquil and tulips are starting to break through, too. How's the weather where you live? read more

Be careful out there! We got about eight inches here after the (snow) dust has settled. I've been shoveling out and already pulled something in my back! Just a warning--remember slow but sure....and bend those knees! I had to dig a path out for Trixie, too--it's too deep for her to do her business!
