It is interesting how dogs gain weight as they get older even if they eat the same food, the same amount of food, and get exercise every day. Is it just something that happens to all animals (even us!) as we get older, no matter how hard we try and fight it? read more

Have a meeting this evening, so I will go the shelter early so that I can visit some of my favorite dogs and get a chance to walk those that most need it. Ugh....raining out today. What to do with the dogs? If we put them out in the back yard, they come in dragging mud. They seem contented laying about on the couches, but they really need the exercise.
