Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

My wife Betty has informed me she wants to bring home another doggie. His (currrent) name is Godfrey. He is a chocolate lab. He a true chocolate not a "milk chocolate" as we call our boy Hrothgar. Three Day Weekend!

It seems like no matter how much time off I get I never seem to get to the things that I really want to do. I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way. The time seems to go by so fast. I had hoped to do something creative this weekend (Drawing, Painting, Recording my guitar) but it hasn't happened yet. I will get something done this weekend. I stand tall in my vow... Lots of 'Biting' commentary

Betty and I returned home yesterday from our excursion to Florida. As soon as we opened the door the howling, barking, screaming began. We were a little afraid to open their kennels as they were in full "Fruit Loop" mode. We left town last Saturday and got home on Friday. I'm sitting here in the airport having lunch and waiting to board our flight and I'm getting some jelous looks. On this whole trip I've been journaling on my IPhone. Our trip ends in Florida... But not our journey

We did not make the top three, so we will not be going to New York for the winners announcement. But we go home not defeated but with renewed excitement about our shelter, our mission and ourselves. Our little shelter accomplished much to get this far in the contest, but we acceived so much more... More public awareness, more people volunteering, more donations of services as well as money.
