Kiwi

Kiwi is our sweet little green budgie. We took him in as a companion for Sugar. He was living in a multi-bird household in which he was the lowest bird and was picked on by everyone. Now he just gets picked on by Sugar :). He likes to make new pretty little budgie songs all day. Sugar

It's hard to believe that we've had Sugar the longest of our current zoo. Sugar is a beautiful "opaline mauve" budgie - basically a silvery pale lavendar color. We got her as a companion to our budgie Lila for whom we were "failed foster parents". We adopted them both from the Greater Chicagoland Caged Bird Society. Kong Frisbee

Need I say more? Lexy was running around with her Kong as Max and I got ready for a walk. Last night we played with a great big stick in the park. Tonight for an even more super-duper treat he took Kong Frisbee down from its safe place on top of a bookshelf. Lexy ran up to him and saw it and went slack-jawed with joy, whereupon her standard Kong dropped to the floor with a kong-ka-kong-kong noise.
