To help a few more animals.... part 2

I previously wrote about the empty Schweitzer house and kennels, and how Pets Without Parents had proposed renovating the buildings to use as a dog shelter. Watching the Shelter Makeover videos

Good grief, I have tears in my eyes. It is so hard to watch all those shelter videos, and see scores of "unwanted" pets in cages. The one that really got me was the Parkersburg, WV identical-looking dogs all in one run together. Probably a group of puppies growing up together. We've GOT to make sure that spay and neuter is affordable, available, and a reasonable option for people! I'm disappointed I won't be able to attend the review of Pets Without Parents on April 29th, I live too far away. I found out about this organization because PWP wanted to lease out an empty house on the Schweitzer Woods Forest Preserve located in suburban Chicago, and use the already-built and currently vacant kennels to house dogs for adoption. Pets Without Parents--- finding good homes for dog…

I have been so impressed with this organization! Mind you, I live about 3 and a half hours away, so you might be wondering how I came to find out about Pets Without Parents (PWP). PWP wanted to rent out an old unused building on a Forest Preserve in Kane County, Illinois, and use it as an adoption center for healthy, adoptable dogs they have in rural Illinois that haven't been adopted.
