For those who don't know Struedel's story, she was a breeding machine in a Missouri puppy mill. She was rescued on about May 25th by my crazy friends who picked up a total of 6 dogs on that trip, some males and some females. One of the rescuers had to be hospitalized for liver problems and they were worried about Struedel, they knew she was supposed to go into heat "any day now." I just deleted Tinkerbell from my account

Wow, what a strange feeling, I just deleted tinkerbell from my account. No more little white ball of fluff to balance out the black schnauzers. It's weird not seeing her photo any more. To those of you who have debated removing your beloved dog after his/her death, I can say with certainty: Don't do it! It's permanent! Tinkerbell got a NEW HOME!!!!

I took Tinkerbell to the second possible home on my list today, and it was a perfect match for little Tinkerbell. B. is an older single lady who works from home, hasn't had a dog for over a year (her 18-yr. old rescued mini died a year ago) and is now ready to LOVE and SPOIL ROTTEN a dog of her own. Huge disappointment for Tinkerbell...

I got a call tonight, the older lady that was interested in Tinkerbell changed her mind. She said her daughter has my telephone number and will call me if she's still interested, but I really don't have any hope for that. On the bright side, there are several other people who were interested in Tinkerbell, and I've emailed the next one on the list. Keep your fingers crossed... read more
