Socializing a puppy

I know people have conflicting opinions about dog parks. Some people thing they are the greatest thing since sliced bread, others think they are an accident waiting to happen. Yesterday (or was it the day before?) I found one of my "teething socks" in the freezer. It's a clean kid's sock with a knot in the middle, dipped in water and stuck in the freezer to give the puppy something cold for her teeth. Phoebe adores her teething sock, but unfortunately Atlas usually steals it from her after a minute or two.
