I know that hurricane season maybe far away, but I know that AHS is an emergency shelter for the shelters from Houston down to Corpus Cristi (or am I getting that confused?). We sure could use better kennels with better lighting in the adoption area. Lots of dogs that are in the lower kennels are not shown or don't show very well because of the poor lighting. For starters, if we do win anything, I am hoping we can improve the potty/run area for the dogs when they need to go. With the intense rains we had last week, we had no drench or drainage system to get the water out of the runs. Out of the four, two were flooded, one was semi-flooded, and the last was usable.
