Three legs, black, part pit. The perfect pet? Her “parents” and their other doggie think so! I fostered Linda Gail after amputation and got to visit her yesterday, complete with lots of puppy kisses. She’s at least the seventh amputee HSCC has cared for and successfully placed. read more

The loooonng line

I’m envisioning a loooonng line of healthy, wagging, purring animals that were rescued by HSCC and happily adopted. Most look much like they did when with us. Linda Gail puppy

Linda Gail, the mostly lab puppy with the amputated leg, is a sweetheart. She's not quite four months old and is much like any other pup. She's playful, loving, almost crate trained. Her hair feels like velvet. Someone who'll overlook the black dog, part pit factors--which really don't matter--will have a great pet. read more
