Shelters need more than dog walkers

How many of us heard people say " I would like to help out the shelter but I don't have the time". There is so much you can do to help the animals. Every shelter in America pretty muchs live on donations. Whether that donation is time , money, food, blankets, etc. When your out shopping for your pet just buying an extra bag of treats or a small bag of dog or cat food can help. I don't understand

I belong to a couple of rescue groups here in Savannah. The other day I sent one of my groups an email telling about zootoo and how we can post our events on here for free. I got an email back telling me that we (our group) does their postings of events where they feel it appropiate and not on every website that pops up. I thought that was little strange. Puppy mill shut down

Did anyone see on Nancy Grace last night about the police and Animal welfare groups help to raid a puppy mill and rescue 800 dogs and 84 exotic birds? All the animals were living in trailer with the owners who by the way are in their 60's. They even had dogs that were dead and some with their paws chewed off. This was just incredible. The sad part except for the dogs is that the maxium setence they can get in AZ is a $2500. fine and 6 months in jail since its only considered a mi… read more

A prayer for animals

I have this prayer in my kitchen on my fridge door and everytime I stop and read it makes me cry. Hear our humble prayer O LORD, for our friends the animals.
