Indiana Shelter To Stop Picking Up Strays
The Humane Society of Indianapolis says a budget deficit is forcing it to stop accepting stray animals and to change its procedure for taking in unwanted pets. Chief executive Martha Boden says the policy changes should cut $800,000 from its operating budget and wipe out the deficit next year.
