The Humane Society of Indianapolis says a budget deficit is forcing it to stop accepting stray animals and to change its procedure for taking in unwanted pets. I used to live in Belpre, Ohio in an apartment. Because I worked wild hours I knew I could have a dog. It wouldn't be fair to it! So I decided to foster dogs from the Parkersburg, West Virginia Humane Society. It was a great way to socialize a dog, keep the shelter from being overcrowded, and it gave me a companion from time to time! read more
